Lemko Community Housing
Lemko Community Housing for Senior Citizens and handicapped persons opened on Sunday, October 23, 1983. It is the result of dedicated work of its founder Very Reverend Ivan D. Dornic.
The Lemko building rises above the historic district of Baltimore like the eastern European mountain range from which its name was taken. The federally-aided high-rise in the historic Fells Point (South-East Baltimore) fulfilled a great area need and a long-time dream of its founder.
Lemko Community is a welcoming housing complex
with 110 spacious, bright apartments - some have
one bedroom and some are efficiencies.
The Housing Community residents and visitors
may choose to spend their time in the library
or in the indoor and outdoor recreation areas.
Lemko Community is more than a Housing project.
It also provides social and cultural activities, and, though
nondenominational, religious services and
opportunities as well.
